Citizenship tests

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4099770.stm

I got 10, but 2 of the 'correct' answers are dead dodgy.

A lot of the questions look dodgy to me! I had a go on the German version a while ago and it didn't ask anything as silly as some of those!

Yes, I wonder who wrote the book (and who approved it).

I did spectacularly badly. Whoops! Looks like I need deporting.

I finally got round to doing the test. 10/14.

Now when I tried Spiegel's German test I got something like 32/35 right. (I didn't know what the flag of Nordrhein Westphalen looked like, what the State capital of Hesse was or what "zero hour" was)

So does this mean I should buy four one way tickets to The Fatherland?

I got 10/14 as well. I think overall this means the test is crap. I'm sure I'd do even worse at the German test, so maybe I should become homeless, or should that be nationless?!

I got 10 too. I agree, some of the answers are dodgy.

Yes, also 10 right. It does seem odd that so many of us who have lived in the UK all our lives do not know all the answers. At least, I wonder if we all got the same ones wrong?

Of course, the questions were, in efect, "What does the book say is the right answer to...", so maybe the book differs from popularly held beliefs?
