Ghosts

I was very much haunted by the ghosts of old dogs this morning, but not in a bad way.  Rosie and Brythen love their lie-ins, so mornings are mostly rather quiet now -  but while I was getting up, I kept thinking that Az and Mollydog were doing their usual joyful morning-dancing, just out of sight and not quite in earshot.

Thank you! They made a lovely pair, those two.

I had that problem hugely with the ghost of the little dog, before getting the Turnbull cat. I am glad it is not in a bad way so much for you. *hugs* That's a great picture.

It's awful when your brain has something to beat you up about. I found it much harder when Molls died, because I was stuck in that 'what if' place and thinking I should have chosen for her to have an operation (of course if I'd done that and she'd died, no doubt I'd have beaten myself up about that instead, because my brain is more abusive than logical, apparently.)

But with Az, he was so very tired, but also content, with nothing left to worry him except that his body was letting him down - if he *is* hanging around as a ghost now, I'm pretty sure it's a happy ghost.

That is just how brains are, I think. Which really sucks.

Talking about happy pet ghosts, Tracy7307 sent me this (http://www.novareinna.com/bridge/stood.html) a few days ago, which made me cry like an infant, but I don't know if you might like to read it.

Thank you, that made me cry too. It may not be great poetry but it feels right!
