Rosie Roo and the Little River

I have been experimenting with dodgy mobile phone video, captured in poor light with a mobile phone. Probably a camcorder in daylight would have been better. On the other hand, I like the story. It's a pity I didn't manage to catch Brythen charging back over the river to rescue his pointy princess.

I'm impressed that you managed to continue filming while walking over that uneven, doubtless slippery log bridge. It does, however, look like the sort of final footage that might be recovered from the lost mobile phone washed up miles away from the site of its missing owner's last known location.

The river is only about a foot deep, and has a nice sandy/gravelly bottom - and although you can't really see it, the log was installed by the National Trust for purposes of small children to have adventures on, so it's been carefully flattened and abraded to create a relatively safe (if narrow) walking surface.

I suppose I *could* have slipped, banged my head and ended up face-down in the drink, but I'd have to be unlucky, I reckon. :-D

Yes, but last time I went on something created by the National Trust specificially for the purposes of small children to have adventures on, I was hurled through the air into a tree, and ended up winded, flailing and crippled on the forest floor, and unable to roll over in bed for weeks. And then there was that nice, smiling National Trust lady who gave us no warnings whatsoever as she enticed us to enter the Gorge OF DEATH. Never trust an outdoor National Trust property: however tame they look, they're always trying to kill you!

Oh, hasn't she got gorgeous eyes! And I love that shot of Brythen passing, blurred with speed...

I'm not sure about Rosie but you certainly managed to attract Max - he just jumped up to investigate the computer...
