It is the time of year when I become fascinated by sunbeams.

Because I am walking in shade a lot of the time since the valleys are so steep, so when you come up a hill into the light it feels a bit special.

Here is Brythen emerging from a Chasm.  I made him do it twice (with the aid of liver cake) because I missed him the first time but he did it so fast that I still didn't quite catch him coming over the lip of the Chasm.

Your sunbeam photos are so gorgeous!

That looks really steep. Is it just the angle or do you have to haul yourself over the edge?

It was very very steep, almost sheer - I think the tree roots were holding the sandy bank together. I didn't fancy going down there but Brythen is made of muscles and rubber. He thought it was fun.

That first photo is just magical.

In the second it looks as if Rosie is about to make an incisive comment.

He's nothing if not enthusiastic! I'm just glad he has good aim, that much dog hitting you in the leg at speed could do a lot of damage!

I love the way Rosie's looking at him: "Yes, do it again, then I won't have to."

haha, yes, and the next photo in the sequence her face has a 'you utter wally' expression on it. That one had Brythen's legs flining around in a very unlikely manner and was a bit blurred so I didn't keep it.

Beautiful.

That is an excellent example of a bonnie road that winds around the ferny brae. If it's a bridleway and you ever see a lady on a white horse, I'd advise you to beware.

I like how when I expand the LJ cut on my Friends page, the picture of Brythen's acrobatic demonstration of free climbing is immediatetly followed by the command "collapse." :-D

If only Brythen were so easily reduced to a state of 'collapse'!

Gorgeous photo - woods in sunshine are incredibly photogenic at this time of year :)

And that picture of the dogs tells a story!
