Rosie and I met Pp returning in car from the post-office as we went on our morning walk.

"Hey look Rosie!  It's Pp!" I said.

Rosie gave the car a look of extreme suspicion.

"Hello Rosie!" said Pp, through the open window. "Come on Rosie!  Rosie come!"

Rosie moved away, looking even more suspicious.

"Come on Rosie!  Say hello to Pp!  You like Pp!" I said.

Rosie's body language stated firmly : this is not Pp.  Pp has legs.  This is some sort of weird centaur-hybrid-machine thing, and she will not be fooled!

I give up and allow her to tow me away.

I empathise. When Pellinor and I were out for a run last Butteler, a passing car slowed down to match our pace. "Rude lout!" I thought, as I doggedly tried to carry on running, ignoring the horrid local. Then the car driver started shouting "encouragement" at us: "get your knees up!" and things like that. "Ignore him and he'll go away," I thought, keeping my eyes dead ahead. "Keep running and don't make eye contact."

I was very slow to realise that it was actually Pp. Thus is it proved. Pp in a car is an entirely different being from Pp not in a car, and entirely unrecognisable. It is known.
