On making ciabatta bread

The grill above the pre-heating oven is a fine place to leave the dough to rise. But only, and this is important, if you put it *on the bottom of the grill, not on a shelf*. It SEEMS like there's plenty of clearance. But there isn't...

Removing ciabatta dough from grill parts is a very sticky job.

The fact that your mood was 'Doh' made me giggle, you have my sympathy with the sticky cleaning job though. Last time I did something similar I scraped off what I could with a knife and then just soaked the rest off. I probably lost about a buns worth.
