Mouse moment

Henning just jumped off the sofa, rolled over, and stood up.

Nothing odd there, you would think, but where he had rolled there appeared a very very tiny, living mouse.

I'm sure it wasn't on the floor when Henning jumped down there, so I think it must somehow have been stuck in his fur!

I suspect that Henning's fur is long and dense enough to hide a sheep, a shopping trolley and a kitchen sink. However, this story, on top of the fact that I have had three mice in three days, confirms my belief that the mice are currently in the final stages of their plan to take over the world. Our last night's mouse certainly seemed to have super powers of speed and invisibility.

This is the second mouse in 2 days for us. I was going to comment on your yesterday's tale of mouse, only before I could I realised that we had a mouse as well and spent the rest of the evening trying to get it to run out of the patio doors. It certainly vanished: I just hope that was where it went!

That was a bigger one though.

:-D That's almost exactly what I was thinking!

I'm pretty sure this is the first time we've had a living mammal just randomly tangled in any of our cats without them even noticing. I assume he must have pockets in those fluffy trousers!

I wonder whether the mouse had thought that the nice soft fluff would make a lovely place to nest or whether it just got sat on by mistake and couldn't escape.

Or maybe his motto is, keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

How bizarre.

Nothing would surprise me.....
