A Quentin Tarantino Silmarillion

I went down to the bottom end of the internet, where I found an inspired suggested casting for Fëanor:


"This is sharper than thy tongue, motherfucker!"

Tragically, this did look quite like Samuel L Jackson until I remembered that he was supposed to be wearing a helmet.  The helmet for some reason damaged the resemblance a bit.  But still!

Ooh, excellent! There comes a point when you've stared at it long enough that it really becomes hard to tell if there is a resemblance or now.

My eyes want to tell me that his hands are too small and his face is too big. Only I copied that exact pose from a photo and layered it with the photo to check, so I know they are the same size as they were in the pic.

This is probably one of those situations where the camera lens has done something odd and I've blindly copied it. Sometimes I find the pictures where I haven't copied a photo actually work better (except when they work disastrously badly, of course).

Still, it's all practice.

This was really only a silly thing so I probably won't re-draw it, but I may spend more time trying to figure it out!

Perhaps the actual function of the helmet is to be a disguise? To prevent the citizens of Tirion from realizing immediately that SLJ is loose among them?
