Pumpkin wars
Jun. 3rd, 2005 07:30 pmEarly indications are that Mars F1 has wiped the floor with Jack of All Trades: 2 mars seedlings, but only one Jackling. And the packet of Mars seeds is 3 years old now! I just wish I could find somewhere that sold them again: can't remember where they came from now.
Alas, the butternut squashes so far are a wipe. Only one of 4 came up, and the slugs had that pronto.
I have finally got round to mounting my wall baskets (no, on the wall...) Note to self : in competition between pansies and petunias, the pansies will win every time. The baskets look quite good full of pansies, but I'd really intended a more mixed look. Hey ho.
