Pumpkins and squashes
Jul. 20th, 2005 10:25 pmI am ashamed to admit that I have only just got round to planting out my three pumpkin and one butternut squash plant. They have been sitting in pots for far too long while I got round to sorting out their bed: not sure if they will have time to do anything much now, but worth a try. I have now dug over the bed, mulched with home made compost, and planted them out.
I think maybe the upper garden is just too far away and steep for a veg garden: veg needs a lot of watering and it's such a hassle to get the hose all the way up there! Beans on the front lawn maybe next year?
