Wild weather

The sky is very clear and black and full of stars just now, and down here in my garden the air is almost still. But up at the top of the hill to the South, I can hear a huge ferocious roaring. A great wind is tearing over the top of the hill, ripping through the treetops and racing high up over the river valley.

In other news, I managed to do my resolved 20 minutes of gardening today, debrambling under the apple trees and pruning my Morwellham pear. The apple trees are up at the top of the slope, so I hope they are all there in the morning!
