Meat market...
Oct. 20th, 2013 10:32 amFarmer's markets have something of a reputation for being places where you buy food that you hope might be better quality than at a supermarket, but will definitely not be cheaper. So I am triumphant that the beef mince bought from a local farmer at a market yesterday was three quid a kilo cheaper than the beef mince in the Coop!
This is useful at the moment, because Az has decided that he can no longer bear to eat any form of dog food, not even the special tinned stuff that smells (to me) like a good stew and is presumably made lovingly by hand by rosy-cheeked Lincolnshire virgins, given the price of it. I am just now stewing him some ox kidneys. 80p for 2 monster kidneys! Win!
