Here are some utterly marvelous monsters. I was going to leave the book open at the very miffed elephant-headed gentleman but I've lost him now, so here is a poor thing that is quite obviously just about to fall over *because it has no front legs*.

He knows that this is about to happen, and has given up complaining: instead he is just crossing his arms and waiting for the inevitable collapse. I suspect afterwards he will say 'I told you so'.

It could be that his species has long-since evolved to walk upright on two legs, but this particular chap is currently performing the Distressed Centaur yoga pose.

...and, in fact, maybe there's a market for an entire book of yoga positions inspired by medieval bestiaries and suchlike. Sciapods are quite definitely doing yoga, to name but one.

Yes, there is an expression of resigned pain on that face, and you could imagine a little bubble with the word 'Tim-ber!' above his head...
