Lone Tree at Sunset

If I'm honest I don't really understand the process by which a huge red sun becomes a tiny white dot in a pink sky when photographed on my phone, and would have to look vague and say 'it's to do with lenses' when what I mean is that I have looked this up many times and have now resigned myself to the idea that this is one piece of understanding that is never going to sink in.

I know the tree is a hawthorn and the grass around it is studded with daisies.

It is wonderful to have this golf course just up the hill from us so that Theo can hare around at this sort of time of evening in the complete absence of sheep.
