Fankil the Small Grey Gentleman

View across the Cleddau river from Pembroke Dock. I was much taken by the contrast between the purple shadows of the clouds and the sunlight on the water.

I love this avenue of trees. You can really see the direction of the prevailing wind and hence, where the sea is, even though the sea is nowhere in the picture.

I started painting this next one when we had a Silmarillion Writer's Guild paint-in on Discord, which was fun: a sort of virtual art group. It's not actually a Silmarillion scene though, it's from Lord of the Rings, a painting of some of Gildor Inglorion's elves with their amazing bread products.

A couple of rescue ponies that I painted for my sister's birthday:

A Goblin for #goblinweek!
This is Tarsleweasel Oip, who has stolen some bread and eggs from the local village and is bringing them home in a sack, as a change from eating the strange white mushrooms of the cavern.

And another goblin - this time one with little feet, and a little nosy-wose.

Went for a wander about Goodwick on Boxing day, and was rather taken with this view of the Lower Town, so I took a quick phone snap to paint later.

Must go back when the tide is in!

I've been watching The Magnificent Century - it's taking a while, because there are a lot of episodes and it's in Turkish with subtitles so you have to concentrate more than usual. But it's a fascinating story, so many interesting characters, in such a peculiar and claustrophobic situation. Anyway, I painted Sultan Süleyman and Hürrem Sultan.
