I liked the Delikett peas so much that I've pulled up and composted the Sweet Green and planted some more Deliketts. It's a bit late and will take a month or so for them to get going but I'm hoping that they will have time to at least form mangetout style pods before the winter, and maybe even more peas. I've given them an extra serving of compost: this weather seems to be good for the heap, it's stewing down well.
I think I should mulch the greenhouse beds with compost too: the peppers and aubergines just aren't growing very fast, even with regular seaweed feeds. I'd forgotten what spectacular purple flowers aubergine plants have.
