Heat and damp

It's all foggy and yet strangely hot and stuffy. Everything smells of mould. 

I wrapped up in my big raincoat *, wellies and waterproof hat to walk the hounds this morning, but you might as well wrap up for a sauna.  If it's still like this this evening I think I'll just wear something that is not too absorbent and resign myself to a soaking. It is that sort of weather when not wearing any clothes at all would probably be much more practical than anything in my wardrobe. 

I do not envy those hopeful souls that are on camping holidays in Cornwall.

* no binder twine belt though.

I was thinking today I would probably just go with Polly to the park and if we get soaked we get soaked. It's got to be better than rattling around the house waiting for the rain to stop.

Here it's more room temperature and damp. Too cool to be without an extra layer, but the extra layer instantly makes one too warm.
