Is it me, or is:

'In Web we Trust'

a very odd thing to automatically append to the bottom of a 'thanks we have received your support request' response from an ISP?

What you don't realise is that the internet was created by a sinister spider-worshipping cult in order to spread their control across the world. At the heart of their religion lurks the great spider god itself, but its worshippers also believe in an all-encompassing spidery force - "The Web" - that links all living beings together, with their god at the centre. Their priesthood - the Invincible Spider Priesthood - mediates between the populace and the god, guiding acolytes in their access to The Web. Very few are aware of the existence of the cult, but the time of revelation will soon come to pass. Once the majority of the people in the world regularly utter phrases such as "everything on the web," the cult will reveal its existence, in the hope that everyone has become so accustomed to relying on the web, that they will seamlessly move into placing their trust in The Web.

So, yes, it does seem odd that a member of the ISP could risk blowing its cover like this with such a blatant expression of their faith. I can only assume that the time of revelation is nearer than we thought.

You see? Observe the post just underneath wellinghall's! You posted the ritual phrase of the Faithful - "In Web we Trust" - so have been flagged up as someone who can be approached by those keen to learn more about eight-legged way of the spider god.

It's terrifyingly true!

Normally I would delete that comment as spam, but this one I shall preserve and treasure lest Eldritch Things come out of the woodwork and eat me if I provoke them.
