Hmmm, I assume you mean for Mollydog, so Easter doesn't really work as an excuse. What about a birthday present though?

Her birthday is in September... Still, she already has 4 fancy elaborate collars, and she had one for Christmas. I was really looking for a plain everyday sort of one, as all her three everyday collars have started to look a bit tired.

Perhaps I will just have to start going to more dog shows so she needs more fancy dress-up clothes ;-)

Find a collar that's even more expensive, and pretend that you're lusting after that one even more. Then, when you buy this one, you can say how virtuous and abstemious you're being, by buying the cheaper one, rather than the one you "really wanted."
