With this dog http://www.lurcher.org.uk/fraser.htm

I've always wanted a grey whippet (no really - when I was 7 I used to make model whippets out of plastacine and make them have adventures), and he is cat-friendly too. And small enough to fit neatly in the car around Mollydog. But can I really afford him...? (also, how could I convince Mark)

We are down to 9 pets since the sad death of Elise recently, but I'm not sure a dog is a straight swop for a bunny...

Isn't he gorgeous! I am automatically in love with any dog that crosses its paws, and Fraser's paws are as close as dammit to being crossed.

I have actually gone so far as to email his current owner for more info on the separation anxiety (he is in a home, but not coping with being left all day).

I don't know whether to hope the answer is good or bad...

Hmmm, things are looking serious. We may be meeting at the weekend to see if the 2 dogs get on.

Reminds me of a house we looked at in Chatham. It had the semi-usual crop of cats, small furry things and parrt; plus two Irish wolfhounds; plus an aviary in the back garden, including a snowy owl. (The owner worked at some sort of resuce centre). Sadly, they said they would be taking all the animals with them ...

Also reminds me of my dad (alhough all his were working animals); typically 5 - 6 dogs, two or three ferrets, hens, and occasionally guinea fowl etc.
