I'm not really following what's going on in the current series, if I'm honest, but I would just like to promote and celebrate this line :

Crowds lined the Mall today as the Roman Emperor Winston Churchill returned to Buckingham Senate on his personal mammoth.

which caused me to pause the recording for a short while so that I could chortle wildly and do a small dance in praise of the visual image thus conveyed.

That was, no lie, my favourite part of that episode. Possibly of this season.

I completely agree. :-)

I must also admit to squeeing loudly over the steam trains going through the Gherkin - it was just such an awesome image.

They were great too. And the flying balloon-cars! And the pterodactyls!

On the whole, I struggled to see why time all happening at once was such a bad thing, since it appeared that ALL the cool things happened simultaneously...

A google for 'Winston Churchill on his personal mammoth' currently produces NO relevant results. I may have to do something about this.

I came home to find a screenful of FAILEDFAILEDFAILEDs on my TV screen, with not a single programme recorded. I was going to watch Doctor Who on I-player, but now think I might not bother, but instead bask in the glory of imagining a whole episode around this image. Doctor Who confuses me; personal mammoths delight.

Bummeroonie!
The plot was a bit baffling, but I would say worth Iplaying for the bizarre and wonderful scenery. Though sadly the Personal Mammoth did not actually appear on screen.

... also, you might want to watch the previous one to find out why your list of Island Names suddenly in 3-4 years, starts filling up with 'Stormageddon's :-D
