A Jubilee Pageant Painting

I decided to have a go at a Jubilee painting.  I did most of it over the weekend, but I've been filling in detail off and on since. It does look better in real life (it's 2ft square so you can't really see the detail in this photo) but here it is anyway.

That's beautiful, and catches the contrast of the day very well.

Thanks! I think it was actually more striking, with the grey skies and the brightly coloured boats, than if everything had been sunny and sparkling.
