Why...

is it that when I think to myself 'Right!  Time for bed, so I can rise bright and early tomorrow!'  I inevitably find myself having to do something like scrub paintbrush cleaner off a furiously growling and savagely angry Bungle?

I think the Bungle is OK, having been scrubbed enthusiastically under the tap. Right. Now I AM going to bed.

Ouch. I now count myself fortunate that I only have to contend with a wriggling poo-covered spaniel...

He was a very, very angry cat. He was quite angry about the paint brush cleaner, really angry about being wrapped in a towel to keep his claws confined, and being run under the tap... I have no words to express his fury!

Cole once got gloss paint on his tail (from a door I SWEAR was dry) 5 minutes before I had to leave for a job interview. Couldn't wash it off, so I'm afraid to say I attacked him with a pair of clippers and then sped out the door leaving him looking stunned and somewhat balder.

I think I over-did it somewhat because quite a lot of what I was taking for gloss paint in my haste was actually just his grey hairs.

(I got the job, though).

Poor baldy-tail Cole! Yama did a more thorough job than that though, he had managed to get it all over his front and on his face and in his eyes - so I HAD to try to wash it off. My god he was cross.

Haha, yes, shaving a stunned-but-good little dog does not really compare to washing a furious cat. Not what you want just before bed. I take my hat off to you.

Yama Bungle. He had managed to get it really all over himself - a little paintbrush cleaner goes such a long way! I had to hold him in the sink and soak him completely to get it off. He did stop wriggling eventually - I am not sure if he just lost the will to live or if he realised that the water was stopping it from stinging his nose and eyes. He became angry again when I began to towel him dry...

Then of course as soon as I let go of him he shot out of the house and disappeared, leaving me panicking that he was going to get ill in a bush or make his runny nose worse by sulking outside in the autumnal cold while all wet. I actually got up again at 3am and went all round the place looking for him with no luck of course. He turned up bright and breezy at breakfast, the little bastard! :-D

My bets were on it being Yama & I can imagine just how displeased & growly he was, I don't envy you one bit! Don't suppose the solvent helped clear his nasal passages then...
