Chloe looks very like my childhood dog, colouring aside (he was white with brown patches), I should scan the photo of him I have at some point, he was a very handsome chap.
I'm glad to hear that Amber is doing so well, bless her.
And I agree with Chloe about the collies. Pip spends much of his time being told off by collies who disapprove of his frivolity, so someone has to redress the balance.
I'm hoping we can home them together. To be honest, I don't think Chloe would be too bothered as long as there was another dog for company, but Amber is such a nervy little soul that it would be very hard to send her off on her own.
The amputation looks to be healing very well and the phot makes it look like the dog isn't sufering balance problems which must be a real plus. I must admit the tail foxed me I thought it was a leg with the foot amputated until I worked out what the bare patch must be.
Given what a huge operation it was, I'm *amazed* by how quickly she has come through it and how well she is doing.
Compared with Mollydog's leg operation which took about 9 months for her to get back to full fitness, Amber has come through incredibly well. Mongrels > greyhounds for recovery, I think!
Mine HATE HATE HATE HATE collies with their stupid collie eyes and stupid collie stalking WOO WOO WOO WOO. When Sky and I used to do flyball, it was a great problem. So Chloe is certainly not alone in her prejudices.
Well done Amber at coping so well with multiple surgeries. She does look very content in those pictures.
