A sparrowhawk that flew over me. If I had had a camera to hand and pointing in the right direction it would have been a great shot, so I thought I'd try to reconstruct it in pencil. Clickable for a big version.
I thought of you when that sparrowhawk flew in front of me and turned to peer at me so inqusitively! Normally they are much shyer, I don't know what this one was playing at.
It was not more than about 10 feet in front of me, and would have made a spectacular photo, if I had had my camera out and the right lens on and already focussed and all the rest of it!
