Red deer lady in the woods
Dec. 29th, 2014 04:42 pmEven when she heard Brythen, decked with falconry bells, approaching at speed, she did not move, although she did look round to see where all the jingling was coming from.
I'm not sure whether Brythen saw her, but Rosie did, as she was on lead next to me. She did not bark or pull, but became very busy smelling Important Smells in another direction. I deduce that Rosie has decided that red deer are Way Too Big. Good. This one was about the height of a Dartmoor pony!

Date: 2014-12-29 08:36 pm (UTC)Rosie makes mad high leaps over thorns, but she does sometimes trip and hurt herself. Brythen appears to be made entirely of Teflon and just crashes through them, but I do worry about him chasing something like this deer, because she might lead him into the river or over a cliff or somewhere, and they go so far and fast.
