Fankil, lieutenant of Melko

I do like this figure that Pp has painted.  He is based on a Balrog model, but Pp decided to paint him as the incredibly-obscure Fankill instead (I have to keep typing Fankill, in the hope that the name will sink into my brain because every time Pp mentions him, I hear it as 'Frank Hill' which seems an oddly prosaic name for a Tolkien villain. Sounds more like a Man of Bree)

Fankil was a bad guy in last year's roleplaying campaign who we had great difficulty defeating, and you can see why.  Look at him!

I had completely forgotten Fankil! And having looked him up, I realise that I created an OC (the Grandmother of the East) with precisely his role of living among Men and leading them to the Way of Melkor. It was obviously a gap that had to be filled.

I had definitely never heard of him.

I assume he didn't go living among Men looking like that. People would become alarmed :-D
