The Hare coursing DVD and Gamekeeping one both have Mollydog on the cover!

This is where he got the originals. I think the licence notes (on what the images can be used for)are fairly clear!

I have contacted Ebay, the web design company/ domain name owners of the image hosting, and the ISP that hosts the server that the pics are on.

Grrrrrrr.

What lovely pictures! (Which I know is no consolation whatsover.) I hope you get him into trouble.

I'm doing my best...

Quite apart from the insult, it's not even accurate! Foxes and rabbiting? Mollydog thinks foxes and rabbits are incredibly dull. If it's not a squirrel, she really couldn't care less.

What sort of gamekeeper has a greyhound? Gamekeepers have labradors and spaniels, surely! At least, the ones I know do.

Retreievers (labrador or flat-coated, occasionally golden), check.

Spaniels (springer or cocker, occasionally setter), check.

Very occasionally German shepherd, check.

And that's about it.

(I should know - I am the son of a gamekeeper. And yes, I have heard the one about the pheasant plucker's son).

It later occurred to me that as it's a shot of a greyhound in the distance, it could be that she is representing a dog belonging to the Evil Poacher, which the gamekeeper must pursue? Poachers probably don't have greyhounds, but I think they might have lurchers...

Can't think of any other logical reasoning!

Lurchers are certainly the archetypal poacher dog, but they'll use anything that can run and retrieve (and, in some cases, bite keepers).

Ah, now the retrieving might be a bit of an issue. And indeed the running, if it needs to be done more than once, for more than about 5 minutes....

Racing greyhounds generally have totally abysmal stamina, though I believe the coursing strains are more robust.
