A small painting of Uinen

"Uinen, the Lady of the Seas, whose hair lies spread through all waters under sky. All creatures she loves that live in the salt streams, and all weeds that grow there"


I actually started this as a drawing of a seal underwater, but there was an awkward space on the right of the seal that seemed to need something putting there.

I like both of these.
I'm reminded, somehow, that Oxford Dictionaries's word of the day was "fouette".
The seal looks a bit surprised at Uinen's turning up,I think.

I think seals always look a bit surprised, don't they? It's the big round eyes...
