...A Far Green Country...

... at last on a night of rain Frodo smelled a sweet fragrance on the air and heard the sound of singing that came over the water. And then it seemed to him that as in his dream in the house of Bombadil, the grey rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a far green country under a swift sunrise...

And a couple of written things:

Many Meetings: The Night is Passing :  (11,917 words) Celebrimbor returns from the Halls of Mandos, to be greeted by Finrod, Galadriel, Elrond, Celebrían and Orodreth, and travels to Tol Eressëa to meet Maglor, Frodo and Bilbo. And then a long-awaited ship arrives.  Yet another Return to Aman story.   No idea where all these words are coming from.

Common Counsel : (2941 words): A few letters sent between Fingon & Maedhros immediately after Maedhros went East with his brothers to Himring.

I went back to the old editor. The new one seems to lack an undo button, which I need!

... also I think switching editor broke the picture.  Oh well.

The city down by the water and the sails on the boat are particularly nicely done, though on a multi-masted sailing boat, the last set of sails is typically a bit smaller than the set just in front (which are on the mainmast).

I think that's down to trying to combine a number of reference images and not getting the perspective quite right. My reference photo for the ship has the sails arranged like that, but I suspect the back one looks bigger because it's nearer the camera.

I suppose the picture does have a lot of elements to it. It might be better art if it were simplified and focussed on one thing, but less interesting to look at!
