3 Tolkien drawings

I was going to try to do Inktober, (a drawing a day in ink) but I have a new pencil and got carried away with that instead.  Ink is so scarily permanent.

Maglor & Finrod on Tol Eressëa, from In Avallónë by the Sea

...  "But Finrod walks with Finarfin his father beneath the trees in Eldamar.”

I need to remember to try to make the people in pictures big. Drawing tiny tiny faces is so hard.

Thank you! I think they are improving. Though I always find pencil easier than paint or ink. I thought I'd have a week of pencil and then maybe struggle back to the colour later...

The Maglor & Elrond one (Maglor cold and ragged and slightly faded and Elrond sad about Elros) immediately reminded me how much I liked the fic, so I went and re-read it.

And the third one made me realize how much that line about Finrod and Finarfin seems to call for art, but I'm not sure I had seen any before. They look like good company for each other!

The Finrod & Finarfin one is definitely the cheeriest of the three! Given that that's the canon one, it makes me worry about my choice of subjects...
