Clouds, Morgawr, & a small ship

A few weeks ago, we were practicing painting clouds.  I chose this sky, and last Friday I added a better sea, light-beams, a small ship and Morgawr, the Falmouth Seamonster.   I wonder now if Morgawr should have been in the sunlit patch, but hey ho.

I think that if you'd put him in the light you'd be telling a different story. In the dark, he's a hidden threat and, from the ship's point of view, he may or may not exist -- he's mythical. In the light, he's a visible threat and, from the ship's point of view, he really exists -- he's no longer mythical. If you see what I mean!

I must get you to interpret paintings more often, that's waaaay better reasoning than anything I thought of! :-D

Putting in the time to practice practice practice is definitely paying off! I don't know why I didn't do it earlier.

I agree with Ningloreth.
Also, monsters don't usually seek out the limelight, do they? I think Morgawr is lurking in very monsterly fashion.

I suppose I was thinking she might be sunbathing like a seal! But lurking probably is more monsterish.
