I made this for Starspray's story An Evening in Tirion
I've played slightly fast and loose with the lighting, but I wanted it to be evening rather than night, so, this is an attempt at a sunset through a partially stained glass window, casting a warm and very directional light on their faces.

I don't feel I got this quite right, and it was one of those paintings where you keep fiddling with it and it still isn't quite right.  In the end, I messed about with it in software as well.  I should know better than to try to do complicated things with watercolour pencils: I'm definitely better with acrylics!

I like it! (And I may be something of a sucker for stained glass, so anything that includes a stained glass window is A+ in my book.)

Perhaps not everything worked out entirely, but I think there are some parts of this that are really, really good. Like I feel I could drink Tuor's brandy!

I think it's lovely! I particularly like the look on Finrod's face; he's clearly so excited to be speaking to a Man!

I think it's wonderful! I love all the colors and the little details--Finrod's many rings make me giggle. It's perfect for my fic, thank you so much!
