Frost, loot and New Year
Jan. 1st, 2021 09:38 pm It is very cold! On New Year's Eve, it was snowing as I went out to walk the dogs, though the land down below was clear and green, and the sun came out as we were walking. This very thin coat of snow meant houndy zooming, even from Rosie! Not too old to frolic, apparently.
Though she definitely got tired long before Theo did, and seemed pleased to be back on the lead.
The snow melted a little in the afternoon, and then... it froze.
The camera hasn't quite picked up the coating of frost over everything... I left it till the afternoon before I dared the path. Even then the road was pretty much iced up.

Random photo of Theo, inside in the warm with the big pile of Christmas toys he had assembled. I think half of these were supposed to be for Rosie, but Rosie doesn't really do toys. Whereas Theo likes to sit on top of his hoard like a small flopperty-eared dragon.
I really didn't like the painting that I made for the Shop for Christmas, so we didn't use it, but I made a New Year painting instead. If in doubt, paint drunken orcs...
I hope you all have a good year.
My 2021 did not kick off well: I suddenly and mysteriously got a terrible stomach upset about 30 minutes into the year and vomited like a fountain. Probably too much to hope that has got the bad luck out of the way for the year, but I do hope it's a one-off!

Love your New Year's card! Those are some surprisingly adorable orcs.
Hope the stomach bug was short lived and you're feeling better now!

I may not be able to get the image of Theo the Small Dragon out of my head now!
