random careers
Sep. 13th, 2007 09:00 pmDon't normally do memes, but for some reason this one has gripped me. I've done the quiz 3 times now and got a completely different set each time.
1. Go to http://www.careercruising.com/.
2. Put in Username: nycareers, Password: landmark.
3. Take their "Career Matchmaker" questions.
4. Post the top ten results
This time was particularly bizarre:
1.Cosmetologist - Wha??
2.Arborist - Trees! Woohoo
3.Hairstylist - Eh? No. I have a deep hatred of hairdressing
4.Esthetician - Wha?????
5.Anthropologist - ah the hardy favorite
6.Taxidermist - Ew. I think not
7.Pest Controller - DOUBLE Ew!
8.Art Director - sounds like fun but not entirely clear what this is...
9.Website Designer - Yays!
10. Veterinary Technician - Neh. Rather go the whole hog and be a vet really.
My previous number ones were Dry Stone Waller and Anthropologist (twice)
Which just goes to show that these career suggester things, which have never known what to make of me, still don't know what to make of me.
edit:
I've always broken such programs. We had one at school that you had to do in the 6th form, and most people got an A4 sheet of suggestions back from it: I got a printout about 10 pages long, comprising pretty much every career in the database.
Either I am temperamentally suited to all jobs or possibly I am so equally unsuited to every form of work that I should be publicly funded to just keep out of the way :-D

Date: 2007-09-14 11:00 am (UTC)Stuntperson was #24, #22 was dancer. They didn't think to ask how clumsy I am.
Translator was #14. I only speak English.
So much for career counseling.
