Here are some random cheering photos of friendly dogs and cats.  Mostly Flash whuppet and Suma Bungle.

Flash whuppet and Suma Bungle do curls.

Large dog (Mollydog) - small dog (Flash) -  Bungle (Suma).  Pity I can't get them to actually stand on each other's backs. Still.

I have no idea what Mollydog is doing in the background of this photo but it made me laugh.  The foreground nose is Smudge and the solemn middle whippet is Flash.   Pity I chopped his nose off, but that's the problem with a 55mm lens, it gets you in TOO close sometimes.

Smudge looking particularly pleased with herself.

Mollydog, ex-racer, proves that at the age of 12, she can still overtake some dogs.  Particularly if they are chubby, shortlegged, and not really trying.

I bought this bed for Az, but I think it's a tad on the large side. Still, at least there is room for two: whippet and whippety lurcher.

Even if one of the two is a greyhound. (Mollydog greyhound on the right, Flash whippet on the left) .

Snoozes with Bungles.

Apparently the Bunglesnoozing wasn't snuggly enough, as they re-arranged themselves to do this:

Awwww sleeping beauties! I do love Smudge and how nice not to have shredded foam rubber everywhere. These days I'm permanently surrounded by the contents of dog beds, thanks to Tess's destructive efforts!

:-D that's puppies for you! (though mind you, Smudge can still do a good line in shredded things aged 11. I had to re-stuff all the toys a number of times!

All the photos of sleeping animals give me such a warm happy fuzzy feeling. I'm going to file this post away under "things to look at when feeling unhappy." :D

Also, those are lovely collars!

Sighthound owners tend to obsess about collars. I think it's the length of the elegant necks! Both of mine have several each, not to mention clip-on tassels for special occasions!

Mollydog is magnificently energetic for a dog of twelve. The late George (coming to the internet as soon as we've tracked down the videotape...) was not so strong at that age, but he had done substantially less running in his life, having much shorter legs.

She's doing really well for her age, specially given that two of her legs are knackered and she has corns. I'm very pleased.

Some lovely photos there. (Despite the lack of a nose, I especially like the one captioned as, "I have no idea what Mollydog is doing in the background of this photo but it made me laugh. Just wonderful! A little running followed by some very elegant sleeping!

These really cheered me up after a week in which Pip has wreaked utter havoc over wide swathes of the Dorset countryside...

I like the horizontal musicians of Bremen - though you probably need to kidnap one of those 24/7 cockerels to complete the picture. Also, Yay! for curly animals. The world needs more pictures of cute curlies.

re. the last picture: I'm wondering which one's yin and which one's yang. (Which would be pretty good names for twinned Siamese cats, now I come to think of it.)

I'm not sure they are different enough to be Yin and Yang. Maybe they are a pair of yins practicing a forbidden love. Or a pair of yangs. :-D
