I had intended the surrounding Scones to be fully upright under the cross-pieces, but couldn't work out a way to balance them.

SCONEHENGE. XD Did you built it first, or think of the name first?

Someone else came up with the name (I think as a misspeaking), but once I had heard it, I knew I had to build it...

Ah. Well, it's some fine sconemasonry indeed.

Stick them together with jam?

I think jam would not have sufficient mechanical strength as a glue for scones. I have considered this matter with some care...

I think that a series of tests are called for, to find the binding substance that works best. Jam, marmalade, honey, cream, marmite ...

Possibly really thick clotted cream might do it?

What a spectacular and delicious monument!

Now I feel like I have to do something similar with the peanut butter cookies in the oven. I could probably replicate the entire Colosseum, what with the ridiculous number of them I've ended up with.

In the Great British Bakeoff a few weeks ago, there was a gingerbread Colosseum, as well as gingerbread Buckingham Palace and Big Ben, so precedent has already been set. :-)

The Ring of Brodgar - all sixty stones of it.

Minehowe would be fun.

Fantastic!

They look delicious as well as funny. We 've just been watching the great british bake-off, so cooking seems a theme of the evening.

Yum.

There were apple ones, sultana ones and plain ones. I briefly considered trying to give the flavours some sort of occult significance, but discarded the idea as Too Difficult.

They sound even more delicious. Tried to come up with some more scone puns, but blinked and they'd (s)gone. There goes the comedy writing career.

They look exceedingly good and I am in awe of their monument.

Hahahaha. Also they look delicious! Why do we not have any scones in this house?!

Probably because you don't have any clotted cream. If you are going to be unhealthy, go the whole hog, is my mantra. :-p

I like it! I have a strange tendency to create bowl barrows, bell barrows, pond barrows and disc barrows out of sugar bowls when I'm in cafes.
