Autumn woods painting

 I had a need to make a wedding congratulations card, and since I didn't feel like painting something with boring rings or flowers, I did this.  I'm quite pleased with the colours. It's mostly burnt sienna, Azo yellow medium and ultramarine blue - the grey of the trunks is a mixture of burnt sienna and ultramarine, with a bit of titanium white, and the lady's hair is the same mix, just a little heavier on the burnt sienna,  I used a tiny bit of yellow ochre for the person on the far side's hair and trousers.   The outlining is ultramarine blue too.   

Why all the detail?  Well, I came across the xkcd colour survey and was alarmed by:

I think basically that's how men express frustration after identifying a zillion questions about colors. The whole analysis was kind of fascinating.

Also men can't spell "beige," I guess.
