If one accidentally buys some weird item of food, like swordfish, and then can't work out a) why you bought it and b) what on earth to do with it, this site is rather good: http://fooddownunder.com/ There seems to be no form of food for which it doesn't have a recipe.

Daffodil 'February Gold' is excellent, but would be even better if there were more of them. Lots and lots and lots. Will try to remember this in November.

The cyclamens I grew from seed a few years back are really looking great now. hurray.

We had it in a citrus butter with potato cakes and wedges of orange and lime. Yum. Sometimes I just can't think how to cook things: I've got a wide range of bits, but stuggle with making the imaginative leap to assemble them into an a meal that is interesting rather than just edible.

Mmm mmm mmmm. That sounds excellent. I'm also a fan of swordfish! My only attempt to cook it so far has been a swordfish tandoori, which I thought on reflection might go better fried than baked. Well, it didn't turn into the crispy coated fish of my imagination, but a sort of marinated swordfish in a tandoori spiced curry sauce was OK too! Luckily. Sometimes my cookery is interesting but *not* edible...
