Sumatra in particular takes play much more seriously than any other cat I have known. Chasing a bunch of feathers on the end of a wand is his particular favourite. He is astonishingly quick, and once he catches the toy he won't let go. Once, he managed to pull the wand out of my hand. He then took the feathery end into a corner of the room and queitly pulled it to pieces, just like he would with a bird.
They haven't been allowed out at night yet, but when they are, I think Sumatra and Yamamayaa are going to bring us a lot of dead things.
As well as their blue eyes, the other striking thing about them is that in certain lights, their coat shimmers. This effect is apparently unique to Bengal cats, and even then, not all have it. Being snow coloured (as opposed to brown), the shimmer is a 'pearl dust' effect rather than 'gold dust'. I think this will be difficult to photograph.
