Weather and books.

I can't be the only person that has noticed that the rain and fogs have neatly overlapped with the weather in Harry Potter.

Another neat overlap is from a book I've just finished reading After London: Or, Wild England, a book where the premise is that the centre-South counties of England have disappeared under a vast freshwater lake, stretching as far as the Severn in the West, and London in the East. (London is a vast fetid and poisonous swamp).

I may experiment with reading something very dry next.

Um - maybe. It's an odd book: it finishes rather abruptly, and there is only one main character - but I like the setting, which could be described as postapocalyptic pseudomedieval.

I am a bit odd in that I will remember a book for the world in which it happens even if the plot and characters aren't much.
