I'm still struggling with photographing stuff like this. The camera seems to be having difficulty with the difference between the pinky-orange background and the green of the orcs. I upped the contrast and reduced brightness, and that helped, but now the background books look more distinct and foregroundy than they should do, and the detail on the orc's arms look clumsy and less subtle than they should.... at least the miniatures and the big dice on the table looks about right. And I do like the orcs expressions.

In my last post with the dragon where I mentioned I had been Left in Charge. This happy state of affairs persisted until Friday, when suddenly the orders began pouring in, and they continued pouring in until Sunday. I think there were probably about... 40 of them? Most were for several items each!

I went to the post-office twice on Monday and Pp went once too! Fortunately though, because of the sheer VOLUME of orders, there was no point stressing about them: I found and packed as many as I could, but it was obvious they weren't all going to be able to be done and some would have to wait till Pp got back from UK Games Expo, where he bought a truly monstrous amount of Stuff. Still, the orders are all done now, and as Pp says, they cleared some space for all the things now sitting all over the house in boxes...

I made a redbubble shop.

This is my first adventure in selling my photography or my art. I have spent so many years practicing and trying things, taking courses and trying to understand colour, composition, what works and what doesn’t, looking at art in galleries and online and trying to develop an eye.

And now at last I think I am making things that I like enough that I might buy them, so I am wondering if anyone else would like to. And there’s only one way to find out…

Not really expecting anyone here to buy anything, but you could go through the link and click the ‘like’ button on something if you wanted to be nice - and offer any constructive advice you may have.

I'm planning to try to sell some of my original art on my own victoriaclare.com website too, if for no other reason than the house is getting kind of full of art, but I'm not quite there with that yet. I'll do a Facebook when I am.
